Is being online reality or just a representation of the real you ? To some people they being online is just like real life , others use it as a bit of a crutch to make them feel better about themsevles or create a life thats better than the one that live. People do things online that they would not do or would be hesitant to do in real life even somthing as little as talking to a person they may not know to well. Online networking websites such as Facebook makes all this possible by adding someone as your "friend" ,because it allows you to acess all the information that they have put forward about themselves which in real life would have to be accessed by conversations not just being able to read up on. There are benifits to this online communication such as keeping in touch with old friends that may have moved or people who live far away, but this can also get to a point where people actually "meet" online which could end up the person being totally different then the one you may have met on the internet. The internet does not force you to tell the truth or state how things actually happend this in turn can make people stretch the truth about things that happend or just straight up lie about it. I feel that internet networking can be a good tool to keep in touch and to interact with others but it cant replace real life conversation and social skills.
